Acquaintance Parteeeey!

A total of 29 students participated and attended UP Batangan’s Acquaintance Party (Parteeeey!) which was held at Alcantara Hall, Vinsons UP Diliman. The event consisted of the introduction of the members to the attendees and vice versa.

Cheers and greetings from members were shouted whenever their former school or hometown in Batangas was called which showed that present familiarity and connection between the future ‘trainees’ and the members that will ultimately help them in creating a bond with the organization itself in the near future.

Sige pa kuya...

Mr. Marcus Jarwin ‘MJ’ Manalo, a CHK professor and an alumnus of the organization gave a small speech to share his experience as a member of UP Batangan. He mentioned certain perks and privileges such as getting any PE class one might want (CHK connections ) and other things if you join the organization. His small talk brought laughter and applause from the audience.

After the introduction of the organization, dinner was served. Membership committee members, Kelvin Meneses and Joline Panopio discussed about the training process and procedures including the activities, grading system and other important details. They were given application forms to formalize their application as volunteers for the sort of immersion process.

The event was spearheaded and hosted by the Vice Chairperson for Membership Committee, Kamla Isabel Alcantara with the help of the Vice Chairperson for Internal Affairs, Edrhum Ani. Indeed, it was a very fun and successful event!
